A nature documentary “Keeper of the Wilderness” shows the endangered beauty of the Tichá (Silent) valley. Tichá valley is a unique area of the wilderness that remained preserved in Tatra National Park in Slovakia. Bears and wolves live there along with other endangered species of fauna and flora. The movie shows the Tichá valley as one of the last refuge of these species that has to be protected. An ecologist Erik Baláž, who has been observing the bears and their way of life for fifteen years, share his experience in this documentary. Thanks to him, we can see one of the last pieces of the European wilderness. The authors of the movie are connected to a group trying to protect the valley from the commercial interest and to let it evolve its own way. One of the authors will provide an introduction to the documentary.
