Dáša fon Fľaša
Dáša and his acoustic dirty folk will be among those proving that punk does not need electric guitars and other noise-making devices on this year’s May Day. His take on DIY music gets by with just an acoustic guitar, raw vocals and mainly the lyrics, that are poetical, romantic and ironical at the same time. But the most important aspect, above all of these nice words, is the pleasant fact that Dáša is capable of self-irony and he takes seriously neither himself, nor the world he can describe so well.
And this is how he describes the beginning of his own creative process: “I have always been creating a big load of songs, and since my band, as it seems, wasn’t enough for me, I started to play some of these songs my way, with a guitar. It was also because of the stupidity of those songs that I was too ashamed to present them to the band. The overpressure of ideas and the need to preserve this fabulous shit made me record these songs. But I didn’t pride myself with them, on the contrary, I felt like a deviant and I was hiding this need of mine”. Fortunately, Dáša let this deviation to the light after all. Come and listen to it on May Day.
